Yesterday was absolutely beautiful here. The sun was shining and the temperature was in the mid-60's. That's huge for us in October. Living in the Pacific Northwest, when the sun shines, we can't miss the opportunity to be out in it!
My husband's business took him to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island yesterday...and because we home school, the kids and I got to go along with him on a little adventure! We got to take the ferry through the San Juan Islands, see some of the beautiful sights, and learn a little history (the Pig War). All while enjoying each others' company...and the sunshine.
If they would have gone to school, we would have missed out on all this...
Boy, I love home schooling.
